CHIEF DEPUTY – MAJOR PETE MONTELEONE
Major Monteleone served as an Airman 1st Class, E-3 in the United States Airforce and holds a Liberal Arts Associates Degree from Lord Fairfax Community College. He started his law enforcement career in 1996 with the Stanley Police Department and served the town until January 2000 at which point he was appointed as a Narcotics Investigator with the Page County Sheriff’s Office, sworn as a Special State Police Agent with the Northwest Regional Drug Task Force. From August 2000 to April 2012 Major Monteleone served as Police Chief for the Town of Shenandoah, Police Department. He then accepted the position as Police Chief (April 2012-June 2012) and Village Manager for East Palestine, Ohio from June 2012 to March 2019.
Major Monteleone says that he is “Full of excitement and optimism at this opportunity to come back to Page County to serve as the Chief Deputy for the Page County Sheriff’s Dept. I am Thankful to Sheriff Chad Cubbage for having faith in my abilities to carry out the duties involved with this position. I spent 20 years of my life in Page County and am very pleased to return to this wonderful area to serve the citizens. Over the last 7 years my experience as The Police Chief and Village Manager for the Village of East Palestine Ohio and the previous 16 years in Page County law enforcement has prepared me to take on the challenges that are ahead.”
