CHIEF DEPUTY – MAJOR STEVIE OWENS

Owens began his career in law enforcement right here with the Page County Sheriff’s Office in April of 2005.  After graduating from the Central Shenandoah Criminal Justice Academy with a Jail Certification, Owens began the first two years of his career in the Page County Jail.  In 2007, Owens was promoted to the Patrol Division and he attended Central Shenandoah Criminal Justice Academy where he graduated with an Advanced Law Enforcement Diploma and became Patrol certified.  While working in Patrol, Owens served as Sergeant of Crime Prevention, commander of ERT, and Captain of Patrol.
Throughout Owens career at the PCSO, he received many training and certifications, some including  Basic and Advanced SWAT, Tactical Combat, Search and Rescue, and R.A.D.  In 2009, Owens received the Police Medal of Honor and in 2022 he received the Life saving Award, both for his courageous actions and call to duty of putting his life on the line for the safety of his community. Owens also recently received the Fort Harrison SAR Law Enforcement Commendation and Medal.  On September 1, 2023, Owens became the first ever sworn TFO by the U.S. Marshals from the Page County Sheriff’s Office.
Owens is actively involved in his community and has a passion for serving the people right here in Page County.

Owens’ 20 years of law enforcement experiences have helped prepare him for the challenges that lie ahead. He continues to dedicate his time and service to the citizens of Page County and is excited about the future.
