One of the three major divisions of the Page County Sheriff’s Office, the Criminal Investigations Division is highly respected for its investigative abilities and specialized training. The mission of the Division is to efficiently and effectively investigate all major criminal offenses that come to our attention. The Criminal Investigation Division works closely with the Patrol Division, Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, personnel from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and other law enforcement agencies to bring justice to each case that is investigated.
The Division, led by Captain Lansberry, consists of the Criminal Investigators, Narcotics Investigators, and Internet Crimes Against Children Investigator (ICAC). Together, all specialized investigators and technical skills are brought together to work with all law enforcement agencies on the federal, state, and local level.
CRIMINAL INVESTIGATORS
Criminal Investigators are responsible for the major crime investigations of all deaths including homicides, suicides, accidental deaths, unattended, and suspicious. In addition, responsibilities include the investigation of sexual assaults, embezzlement, robberies, burglaries, and any other serious crimes.
Fire Investigators are responsible for determining origin and cause of suspicious fires and those that result in serious injury or death.
SPECIAL INVESTIGATORS
