Medical or Mental Health Condition:

If you are given a delayed confinement reporting date by the court and you suffer from any chronic, any acute physical, or any psychological ailment, or you are taking any medication, whether prescribed or over the counter, YOU MUST make arrangements to see the jail nurse at least five (5) business days prior to our reporting date.  This is critical in order for us to provide you with the care you have to have while incarcerated.

Jail Medical Program:

  • Inmates with a pre-existing condition(s) are responsible for 100% of the cost of the treatment for such condition(s)

  • The doctor visits the jail once a week

  • The doctor’s fee is $25.00 per visit

  • Inmates with a chronic care condition(s) must be seen by the jail doctor in order to continue receiving treatment for that condition(s)

  • In 2019, under Sheriff Cubbage, the medical staff worked with the federal Medicaid program to process all inmates housed in the Page County Jail for approval of Medicaid while incarcerated.  This has resulted in over hundreds of thousands of dollars of savings to the Page County tax payers.

Medical for Inmates Participating in the Work Release Program:

Inmates who participate in the work release program are responsible for paying 100% of their medical, dental, vision, and prescription bills.
