The Page County Sheriff’s Office is an active member of the Northern Virginia/DC Metro (NOVA/DC) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force which is coordinated by the Virginia State Police.  We currently have one investigator in this assignment.  This position is supported by a Department of Criminal Justice Services Grant, which his funded by “Alicia’s Law”.  The ICAC Task Force Program was created to help state and local law enforcement agencies enhance their investigative response to offenders who use the internet, online communication systems, or other computer technology to sexually exploit children.  The program is composed of sixty-one regional Task Force agencies and is funded by the United States Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.  The Task Force is made up of investigators from numerous agencies in the Northern Virginia / Washington, D.C. area including local, state, and federal agencies.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force also focuses on presentations related to Internet Safety, Cyber-bullying and Sexting for children and parents in our community.  We strive to raise awareness that predators do exist on the internet and within their community.
